The total investment of the project was RMB134 million and the project was carried out in two phases. In the first phase, the project excavated chromate contaminated soil on and surrounding the original sites of Huayang and Bodafeng electroplating plants, constructed stabilizing treatment places for ex-situ remediation and constructed solid wastes landfill for dumping of treated soil. In the second phase, the project completed soil excavation and backfilling of Jinshun and Huatai contaminated areas, remediated and backfilled the contaminated soil, and carried out ecological restoration to the solid waste landfill.
