The project was a major project in the Implementation Planning for Heavy Metal Pollution Control of Hunan Xiangjiang River Basin, and the main pollutants were heavy metals of cadmium, arsenic, lead, zinc and mercury, as well as PAHs and TPHs. Stabilization/solidification technologies were mainly used in the project. The project mainly included excavation and classification, innocent treatment and disposal of contaminated soil and waste residues, innocent treatment of contaminated surface water and shallow stagnant water, backfilling of site, and ecological remediation of earth surface of the post site etc..
